Best ice cream ever! Worth the long line! I do wish they would limit how many flavors a person can sample. I know that was creating a longer wait when we were there. (A local person in front of us with 2 out of town friends was telling everyone around her in line all about each flavor and which were best; then they get to the counter and all 3 sample at least 6 flavors each.) It also seemed like they needed more help behind the counter.

We came to this place in the middle of August. It was blazing hot outside, and the staff here were kind enough to bring out water while the blocks-long queue inched forwards. The ice cream was good, and the variety of flavours was very impressive. A very delightful and retro ice cream parlour on the inside, though it does lack significantly in seating space for the crowd that it serves. Centrally located.

Home made real ice cream in downtown Savannah. Worth the stop but be prepared to wait in line for up to 20 to 30 minutes. Worth the wait? Yup! It is a real old fashioned soda fountain ice cream shop. All the flavors we tried were excellent. The folks serving the ice cream were efficient and friendly. They seemed to enjoy what they were doing which made for a pleasant experience. Don't pass this by if you're in Savannah. No parking but easy to walk to from the historic district.
